New publication featuring BOOSTER acknowledgment!

We are pleased to highlight the publication with the involvement of our project partner, the University of Oxford, entitled “The Influence of Alkyl Spacers and Molecular Weight on the Charge Transport and Storage Properties of Oxy-Bithiophene-Based Conjugated Polymers” in Angewandte Chemie.

The study explores how alkyl spacers and molecular weight affect the electronic and ionic charge transport properties of conjugated polymers (CPs), which hold great potential for bioelectronics, electrocatalysis, and energy storage. Using operando characterizations, researchers examined the impact of alkyl spacer length on polymer backbone conformation, charge mobility, and stability in organic transistors. Interestingly, while alkyl spacers enhance stability, they also reduce hole mobility, an effect amplified at higher molecular weights.
