BOOSTER advancements highlighted at ISFOE 2025
The BOOSTER project was in the spotlight at the 18th International Symposium on Flexible Organic Electronics (ISFOE 2025), held from 7–10 July 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece. As part of the broader NANOTEXNOLOGY multi-event, ISFOE gathered global leaders in flexible and printed electronics to exchange ideas and explore new research and industrial applications.
Representing the project’s most recent developments, Fraunhofer FEP, coordinator of the BOOSTER initiative, shared valuable insights during two expert presentations:
Matthias Fahland and Patrick Schlenz gave a talk “Roll-to-roll manufacturing of NFA-based organic solar cells” with a deep dive into scalable, high-throughput production processes for organic solar cells, demonstrating practical outcomes from this pioneering EU-funded project.
Patrick Schlenz focused on the “PFAS-free encapsulation for optoelectronics: a sustainable alternative for high-performance applications” – an important step forward in replacing PFAS-based materials with sustainable encapsulation solutions for next-generation flexible devices.
