BOOSTER Technical and product specifications

During the first 6 months of project implementation, the consortium defined materials and processes specifications for the active components of BOOSTER project. In addition, the characterization procedures were defined, and the long list of potential materials was narrowed down to specific options.

At the same time, ASCA designed the OPV module stack and FEP created specification sheet table for the encapsulation frontsheet and backsheet. Specific regulations of European countries related to the installation of PV products were also taken into account: FAU performed a literature research and collection on European and national laws and norms that regulate the installation of PV modules, and they came to the conclusion that no existing regulations contradict the installation of demonstrators as planned.

Finally, FAU and ENI defined the technical specifications of the two BOOSTER demonstrators and the requirements on size, performances, aesthetic, and connections.
